Wasn’t a senator, he was a candidate had to step down once the story broke. His opponent was Barack Obama who went on to beat the replacement candidate!
LOL, I thought this reference was from the animated movie “9” and I couldn’t figure out how this tied to American politics.

I’m still not clear what happened, how did the two planes get so close in the first place? Wtf were the pilots thinking!
And how did the planes not disintegrate!
I’m guessing the skydivers were okay
many rules not being adhered to there. supposed to be 1000ft of elevation separation between planes at all times. From what I’m seeing in that video it actually looks like the pilot of the manned plane isn’t paying attention and drops into the other one.
The skydivers and bith pilots were OK. Some injuries but all survived. One plane was able to land and the pilot parachuted out of the second plane which crashed. What a story to tell yourKids and Grandkids.

They were so close as they were attempting to drop the skydivers for a large formation drop
