Yes, it’s true! 
This is a town in Norway receiving sunlight through a giant mirror. It’s the small village of Rjukan, surrounded by mountains that block sunlight for about six months a year, from October to March. To solve this problem, in 2013 a system of giant mirrors, known as “Artificial Suns” was installed on top of the mountains surrounding the valley.
These mirrors, controlled by a computer system, reflect sunlight towards the centre of the town, illuminating the main square and allowing residents to enjoy the light during the darkest months. With a total surface area of 51 square meters, the mirrors automatically adjust to follow the movement of the sun and redirect light.

Yeah, not good timing. Kirk was actually talking about the stabbing of the Ukrainian girl a couple of days before, getting stabbed in the neck, a few days later he’s shot in the neck. I unfortunately saw a video on Facebook, 3 seconds long, and it was enough for me to conclude he wouldn’t survive. So much blood within seconds.

I understand it to mean an awareness of any social injustice in general and of racial discrimination and bigotry in particular.
It’s little surprise that the torygraph readers and others with similar reactionary views are so disparaging in their use of the word because they don’t like to be reminded of what it really refers to.
