James MILNER: 2020/21

My daughter is a hobbit and I am a giant. The thing that gets me is all this sitting in front of my monitor seems to be causing me to shrink and my son is getting taller than me.

Milner looks like your ā€œangry short guyā€œ here.

Mind you if I was pit ina group with these 3 lanky bastards Iā€™d be angry too

If I was put in a group with them three lanky and young guys you wouldnā€™t see me to know of I was angry. Height and the fact Iā€™d be at least a mile further back!

If Milner isnā€™t offered a coaching role here when he retires Iā€™ll be amazed.

Yeah, that was on the table a few years ago. Weā€™ll see where and when he retires. And if the offer is still there. It probably will be and then itā€™s down to him how/where/when he wants to stop playing and when to start his coaching process.

Yes, I think he said in an interview last summer he wants to play at as high a level as possible for as long as possible. Not sure exactly what that means, but Iā€™m thinking retirement isnā€™t on the agenda yet. And why would it be when youā€™re in that kind of shape.

Yeah, heā€™s still playing a decent amount of football for one of Europeā€™s best sides. And actually doing alright. Maybe he doesnā€™t want to retire here, maybe he feels he has another contract in him somewhere else for 2-3 years. Then, weā€™ll see if the offer is still there for him to come back here and coach at the Academy.

But I bet he would still eat the 3 of them for breakfast.

Itā€™s not the size of the dog in the fight

The Anfield Wrap said the club had confirmed Milner would not be getting an extension after this season. It was buried in the Hendo stuff.

I havenā€™t seen anything, but wouldnā€™t surprise me.
