January Transfer Window 2023

A little surprised to see Chelsea allow Soonsup-Bell to leave, also not sure Spurs was the right club for him to go to - would have thought someone like Brighton would be a better avenue.

Eder Balanta from Club Brugge to Schalke on loan.
Omar Rekik from Arsenal to Wigan on loan.
Gavin Kilkenny from Bournemouth to Charlton on loan.
Terem Moffi from Lorient to Nice on loan, €2.5m fee, obligation to buy total package €30m.

Phew, that will stop them from being dinged with an FFP violation

Clubs looking to do some smart business at the end of the transfer window. Thank god we don’t have to spend money given we have a commanding position in the League and a Boss midfield !

Signing a player because one got injured for 3 months is not that sensible to be honest.

If it’s a loan deal then yes.

We really do need an eye-roll reaction…

Ah it is a loan deal fair enough.

Sorry.

At what point do you replace Matip who is getting older and older and is injury prone? We are now one Matip injury away from facing Madrid with Phillips and Gomez as our CB’s. Not something I’m looking forward too.

No point.

We’ll just continue giving out contracts to both Matip and Gomez. Until they’re about Pepe’s age (but nowhere near his fitness record).

Hope they don’t develop the same idiotic behavior Pepe has … :upside_down_face:

Didn’t say which Pep!

“We would have liked to see Isco with us, but we have our limits. Those limits were overstepped today, contradicting the earlier agreement. In the end, the Isco deal will not come to pass.”

Isco travelled to Berlin but the deal collapsed.

United in for Sabitzer.

There’s one I’d like for us to highjack.

Unfortunately it won’t happen. Suspect Sky sports haven’t even bothered sending a camera man and reporter to Kirkby.

Were we linked to him before he joined Bayern? I know its an obvious link with the Red Bull style of play, but Im pretty sure there were reports of interest.

We were certainly linked - whether they were credible, who knows.

Di’Shon Bernard from United to Portsmouth on loan.
Nadir Zortea from Atalanta to Sassuolo on loan.
Arthur Zagre from Monaco to Excelsior on loan.
Selim Amallah from Standard Liege to Real Valladolid for €1m.
Roberto Piccoli from Atalanta to Empoli on loan.

Haven’t a club if the above is true or not, but if it is, I can’t see how it avoids FFP - at best it just spreads the payments out doesn’t it?

Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if using factoring companies was a common thing although I thought it was used by sellers rather than buyers (Isnt that what we did with the Coutinho money?)

Would it fall foul of 3rd party ownership rules?

Andreaw Gravillon from Reims to Torino on loan.
Antonin Barak from Hellas Verona to Fiorentina for €8.5m.
Nicolas Raskin from Standard Liege to Rangers for €1.5m.
Bradley Locko from Reims to Brest on loan.

Djed Spence from Tottenham to Rennes on loan.
Georgios Kyriakopoulos from Sassuolo to Bologna on loan.
