Jarell QUANSAH: 2024/25

Yeah, I’d prefer a loan at this stage.

I don’t know why we’d even consider selling him, unless it’s silly money.

Young, home-grown with a big upside. He needs game time and he should get a loan but a sale should be off the table.

That’s a significant drop, specially considering Gomez didn’t play much either.

For the players good that’s I’ve got to find a new club figures. Even if it’s Championship.

This tweet’s a bit too long, almost an article in itself, but I liked this part:

Quansah studied one player in particular. “We had Joel Matip at Liverpool. I couldn’t believe how well he could step into midfield and keep the ball. It looks easy sometimes when you’re stepping in and you’re just going past players but knowing there’s three or four players either side of you and trying to make the right pass is so difficult. It’s definitely a skill I’ve not mastered, but seeing players like Joel do it and the way he did it with such success, I can only aspire to be that sort of player.”

I think Huijsen also mentioned Matip as one player he studied because of his forward runs, so it’s nice to see young players appreciating him as a player because he always looked a bit underrated outside of Liverpool and LFC fanbase.

I think if he does move to Bayer I think it’s a very courageous move. He could have stayed and play backup and learn from the best in the greatest club. But he chooses to step out and try to advance his career. All the best to him!
