Don’t know what to make of all this, and it quite possibly could be all social media hysteria but there’s a groundswell of innuendo that Sterling was responsible for Joe’s latest injury. That the “no one around him when he was injured” rhetoric being pushed from Southgate was lies. There is quite a bit of speculation and junior detective work connecting the dots in these threads if you want to have a read. I don’t have an opinion yet either way. Just putting it forth for discussion.

Or maybe Hendo means it was hard to take precisely because there was no-one around him at it was a complete freak. Or the reaction from Gomez was hard to take.
I remember when Owen’s knee popped in an England game just through him losing his balance on the touch line. You actually saw the tendon in his knee snap. It was horrible.

Oh yeah I remember that like it was yesterday. Sweden at the 2006 WC in Germany I think it was, Joe Cole scored that wonder goal and Stevie scored from a header after coming off the bench.
One of the painful ones to see was also Martin Taylor on Eduardo.
