Jordan HENDERSON MBE: 2020/21

Carra said well last night that you really feel when he’s missing in our midfield. We haven’t seen that much with Gini, because he’s always fit, but I think Hendo is still our first name in midfield and logically among our first names through the spine from back to front.

Exactly. Gini brings alot of physical hardwork which is what we need. But Henderson is that and way much more. I would say he has become sort of a ‘spiritual’ leader to the team. Legend and I said it so many times but he deserves to be called that over and over again

The Newcastle math clearly showed that there is still a gap in terms of class between Henderson and Thiago (as well as recent top-class CMs such as Busquet, Xavi, Pirlo, Iniesta, Kroos or Modric during their prime).

You can prove anything with stats.

Hendo deserves the respect and love he has fought for.

Thiago better start developing then!

That’s right let’s take a sample of one game to try and prove a point.
2 different kinds of players, both of which I’m glad play for the Mighty Reds.

Read this on reddit:
Klopp on Hendo’s gifts for squad to celebrate winning PL: “Each player and coach got a mini version of the trophy and a personal written letter. It was clear Hendo wrote it. When me and my missus read it, we were really touched. Wow. For 30 people? It was incredible. That says everything about him.”

Any news on him?

It was him missing games at the end of that season that lost us the league. Hugo rightly named. First name on the team sheet without question.

Always liked Howe.

On top of that, he knew he was going to get smack in the head from the Hammers’ high boot, yet he still leaned into the ball to draw the foul in order to relieve the pressure on LFC defence.

Yeah, Owen was saying that last night. He wasn’t going to let the Hammers draw level (we were 1-0 at that time) as long as he is alive.
