Saw the ball in the net and didn’t even realize Hendo had been subbed on. :joy: In fairness I wasn’t super involved at that point, I figured he’d be on around 70-75, but nonetheless glad for the skip!

Hendo could really do with toning down the goal celebrations. He’ll do himself an injury.
The only way I could accept Hendo celebrating that much was if he’d put one past Pickford to ruin the little shit’s clean sheet record.

Mistakes like this are probably why my sports casting career never took off.

ā€œWhat I like the most about Jordan is everything is understated. He does everything quietly, methodically without anybody telling him, and he does it why? Because he wants to do it."

Sunderland coach Kevin Ball has seen Liverpool FC skipper Jordan Henderson rise from the Mackems’ academy to Premier League and UEFA Champions League glory and now stand on the brink of ending England’s 55 year wait for a major trophy: read about his motivational message to Hendo below

If only Jordan Henderson had had an Italian grandmother, I wouldn’t have to think about which team to get behind.
I’m torn. I’ll be supporting the Italian team for their supporters, whose perfect behaviour and use of their vocal chords so far has been in stark contrast to ours and I’ll be supporting Hendo for his contribution to team spirit and Southgate for his inspirational letter to the press on the eve of the tournament.

I wouldn’t mind England winning but since the Germany match I haven’t been able to watch TV because that’s all it’s been.

I’m Welsh and the way the media still goes on about 66 makes me not want England to win. If England do win tomorrow tv is going to be unbearable for months / years.

All the pundits coming outta the wood work at the moment and the ā€œit’s coming homeā€ thing is annoying. It’s a great song but everytime England get out of the group stages it’s coming home - apparently

What’s this about no new contract for Hendo. Should be no question about a new contract.

I’ll shit the bed too right.

Fucking FSG. They’re clearing the club out as usual and do not give a flying fuck.

How dare they not have given Hendo a new contract during the Euro’s or his holiday. Why the fuck aren’t they hurrying this up. Honestly they take the piss.

Things will be clear by August.

Your optimistic, I think he has 2 years to run on his contract. This could take over a year to sort out.

I mean, there is also a rumour that FSG may cash him this summer.

So, by August at least we will know whether they will do that.

I am pretty sure that I have a perfect record when saying something has 0% chance of happening, this has 0% chance of happening. I have more of a chance of creating a time machine before august, time warping into August, time warping back, and then confirming what actually happened.

I think my last 0% chance was ridiculing the idea that James Milner would be SOLD to Leeds last year.

PS: I’m starting work on my time machine now.

As a player of FIFA, I know a lot about this sort of conundrum. You might say I am an expert.

In my last career as Liverpool, I sold Milner almost immediately, I sold Fabinho a couple of seasons later so I could keep Hendo in my first team, but that only lasted a year and I reached the point where I felt I had to change formation to a 442, sell Hendo and sign Mbappe.

We can’t keep the same team until they’re in their 40s, at some point the tough choices have to come and if my FIFA career has any bearing on real life outcomes, well, guys, it’s going to be okay.
