So new contract, 2 years replaced by 3 with an option for a 4th. The 3 will be a payrise the 4th would then be appearances based is what everyone is saying. Best compromise available? Takes him to 34 with 34-35 on appearances based contract if the option is activated. Canāt see him being here longer than that, Milner is a freak and I imagine this might be the last year as a player here for James (although might be wrong).

Yep, think nearly everyone on here called it as a bullshit story that would easily get sorted out. What did it take, two months? Thatās very fast for contract negotiations - especially when he was away at the Euros for half of it.
