To be honest he was poor and played far too many games which hampered his ability.
But he is also 33, that piece really is bending the truth a fair bit. He wouldnât in my view force a move and the amount will be a fair whack for a 33 year old.
The issue is players forcing moves, if Klopp canât guarantee him playing time then a deal is probably done though any player or former player who goes I canât really wish them anything frankly.
Thats a bit strong to be fair.
He has not said anything to indicate a move is on his mind, and his reputation wonât be tarnished if he says he is staying and never considered this move.
Edit:
His role in the team is reducing, his form last season wasnât great, but his legacy at the club is tremendous. He was never going to be our BEST player, but his role at the club has been magnificent.
