Jürgen Klopp - Liverpool Legend

I’ll give the FA due on that, they’ve given the amount of work it deserved which seems the total sum of f**k all.

Who asked for it to be investigated? Or did they just create a statement for nothing?

More like everyone is is shit scared what an investigation would publically confirm… Klopp didn’t tell anything that wasn’t facts.

Just like Rafa did, all those years ago.

The anti-LFC media crucified him.

The way Howe and Man City are taking the high ground it sounds like someone did.

FA didn’t want a case, as the simple truth on this one is something they absolutely wish to avoid.

If Klopp is suing Man City then hopefully it will give an opportunity to speak clearly and publicly on their finances.

Going into another season relying on Thiago as your midfield creator vs the low block is one of Klopp worst decisions as manager.

Klopp out but keep FSG?

Neither of them out, but neither are above criticism for not bringing in a midfielder in the summer.

Lack of investment is a major problem going forward. We have to keep old players instead of spending money and replacing them.

Neither of these points are necessarily true. The club’s financial strategy runs through multi year periods. The needs of a team needing somewhat significant rebuild, and one needing minor tweaks don’t need to be addressed in the same manner.

Come on we needed a midfielder in the summer not a cheap loan that will never contribe to anything, Milner and Ox Chamberlain leaving in the summer and possibly Keita for nothing. Fabinho not good enough anymore Henderson is ok for 45 minutes and Thiago is injured half of the season we have a couple of young players who get run past or pushed off the ball easily.

The club quite clearly disagreed.

In any case, the very fact that you’re focusing on the cost by calling it a “cheap loan”, suggests that it’s not really about the quality of the player, just the amount we spend.

None of this proves the club didn’t have the resource to sign players or that it will be a problem going forward.

On the contrary, we know going into summer the forward line was the priority. We know the club including Klopp were not prioritising the midfield - yet the club were already exploring possible deals before Klopp changed his mind on needing reinforcements by which time finding an acceptable player who was available was much harder…

We also know that the club had the opportunity to sell players to raise funds which they turned down. Looking on transfermarkt the gap between incoming and outgoings in the summer was about £13m - yet the club usually has £30-40m to spend on top of that recieved in fees. There may be a positive change in terms of wages as those coming in may be on lower wages than those leaving. Thats before we consider how much additional revenue the club has generated from last season’s run.

What we don’t know is what plans the club already had in place for January & Summer 2023 which is when we were expecting the club to prioritse the midfield…

The players we refused to sell ha ha ha or the players no other club wanted so we make up nonsense to suit. Klopp is too much of a gentleman to say what he really wants. 28m plus sales each season and fuck all this summer 4m to loan a player not good enough for Juventus. Next season will it be Europa league or conference league? Balancing books my arse while the club slides down the league and out of CL.

It was widely reported we turned down an otherwise acceptable offer for Nat Philips towards the end of the window because injuries were beginning to mount. If the money was needed to buy another player, the deal most likely would have happened.

If you read any interviews by those who have worked with him (particularly at Dortmund) you will know this isn’t true in the slightest.

Thats £32m to start the ball rolling on prospective signing - before adding in additional monies made last season or through wage savings or shuffling around other funding options. Melo was only signed because the club felt there were no options that were of better value by that stage in the window.

As said earlier the club operates over a multi year time frame so can and will increase spending in particular years while being more circumspect in others - thats generally how most businesses operate.

We’re 7th, 5 pts behind fourth place and still more than 2/3rds of the season to play. We’re not going to finish out of the CL places. You’ve still not demonstrated that the club chose to balance the books as apposed to not finding a suitable option in which to invest

In 2020 Phillips Jacobsen - head of sports science.
Andy Massey- club Doctor, Physiotherapist- Christopher Rohrbeck, Richie Partridge and Jose Luis Rodriguez all forced to leave the club in FSG cost cutting measures.
Since the club riddled with injuries.
Balancing books nothing else matters.

Interesting, do you have an article you could link me to about FSG’s motivations for the staffing changes?

Any proofs of that?
