Don’t we normally have a fairly settled team though?
Given all the changes to the squad (this summer and last) I’m thinking Klopp et al. plan on getting some of the first team to gel as quickly as possible.
Darwin needs as much time as possible to gel, for example.
I also think they’re messing around with giving Trent time in midfield as a continuation of his training for his hybrid role. He already knows how to play RB.

Almost the same tactic we use with Trent. Looks like he is in a deep 2 in possession and drifts back to left back out of possession.
