I love Debbie Harry.
Everyone loves her and she always looks great
Via EotK.
Fantastic tonight in both directions.
Up to 6 assists also, nice.
He deserves to keep his place in the team. But he won’t.
And he’s cool with it.
Love the lad
There will be a time when Robbo dips , Tsimi is the perfect guy to challenge for the XI then. We just need a similar guy on the right to improve Trent.
I think this guys absolute brilliant.
He’s a fighter, he’s quick strong and has an unbelievable cross on him…probably has a better weak foot than Robbo too. Everything you need in a top full back let alone 2nd choice.
There is very little difference in quality between Tsimikas and Andy, we are lucky to have both playing for us.
Credit to him last night. Played like a machine for the full 90 + minutes.
Not quite as aggressive as Robbo but still gets forward, provides opportunities etc etc.
Great game.
I’d argue he’s offensively outperforming Robbo this season, not defensively though.
Robbo’s got 14 assists to be fair to him. They’re both doing well.
I don’t know why some on here got bent out of shape when it was suggested Tsimikas should be given a couple of games to give Robbo a break though, he’s an outstanding player. Robertson slightly better of course but there’s not a lot in it.
Don’t think Robbo needs a break now, but I’d probably give Tsimikas the Everton or United game.
He’s at Robertson’s level. Not quite as good overall but in the same tier. The only question about him is if he can maintain this level for an extended run of games like Robertson does with his superhuman stamina.
In any case, it’s great to have two of the best LBs around.
Great player, not sure he has the same level of recovery pace as robbo. Definitely not the same engine though that’s hard to compare since Robbo is out of this world in that regard. Tsmikas dead ball deliveries are phenomenal. Good problem to have
Attacking wise, I think he’s as good as Robbo. Maybe not as direct when running with the ball, but that’s not really a criticism.
He will get better defensively the more game time he gets - but even then, the issue I see, and this is knit picking, are with the communication channels in terms of holding the line. Even then, he usually plays in a mixed up defensive line up, so doesnt have the consistency. Other than that, he’s solid, tackles well, clears danger well, reads the danger and presses well.
Left back has always been a difficult position to button down. We’ve been very lucky to have one of, if not the, best LB in the world in our team for these last few years, and to now have another player who is clearly good enough to play week in week out, is huge. He’s a couple of years younger than Robbo too. Lets hope Klopp can keep him happy.
What I really like about him is the way he’s immersed himself into the club. The way he celebrates every goal off the bench, celebrates victories with the players at the end even if he’s not come off the bench. Love to see it.
So far this season:
Tsimikas: 21 games 1487 mins
Robertson: 37 games, 3118 mins
Next season those figures will be much closer.
Am I alone in thinking that this guy has been better than Robbo this season?
I dont think it’s right, but you are clearly not alone in thinking it. I think a lot of that perception comes from Tsmi clearly being a very good option and a legit challenge, and that results in the question being posed about Robbo every time we conceed. For example, I thought both our CBs were bad (lazy) on Silva’s goal today, with Robbo chasing to cover 3 separate players in one sequence with no one else breaking out of a jog to put themselves in the right position…yet it’s Robbo who was getting the daggers in the match thread.
My analysis isn’t just based on today’s match. Robbo has not been at his usual standard for a while, whereas Kostas has been excellent every time he’s played.
I didnt mean to suggest it was. I just used that as an example of how the strength of the challenge Tsimi is posing to Robbo has made, IMO, people look to blame Robbo for defensive situations that arent really on him.
