Kostas TSIMIKAS: 2021/22

*Edit realised this was the Kostas thread.

Robbo’s not playing terribly but he’s nowhere near his best form for me. Yes others were poor for the goals but his side used to be rock solid, so much Trent was targeted. Now we ship soft goals down that channel consistently. He’s also not as good crossing, I only say that because Kostas is currently delivering far better quality from out wide.

The biggest gripe I have for him is losing possession cheaply, going for not even hard passes, not completing then being out of position and our defense is dog legged.

Probably fatigue he’s played ridiculous minutes for club and country for a few years now.

Its unfrotutante this guy is behind a machine, but to be honest on form, Tsimikas hasnt put a foot wrong and think he merits more time on the pitch.

Very well rounded, not as direct which makes his game less predictable and his delivery is unreal.

Robertson moved onto his 15th assist of the season yesterday, most of them coming since the turn of the year.

I don’t think there’s a clear case for dropping him at the moment. There was a better case when he was putting in stinkers against Brighton and West Ham, but his level is definitely higher now than it was then even if he’s not at his best.

Would still give the greek scouser a run either against Everton or Man Utd , Both of their teams have shit wingback options and there’s every chance of him getting another assist or even a goal.

I think so, the drop off is virtually zilch and he seems to do be able to do the highline well. The issue against Benfica came on the other side. That would be my biggest concern as we can’t press every team into submission as we haven’t got the energy and it seems to be the only tactic for some.

Tsimi watching tonight’s CL match against Villarreal at home…

I hope he don’t ask to leave due to lack of playing time.

I think he knew he was always coming in as back up…but I do believe he should be given equal game time as Konate or Jota.

Loved the way he cupped his ears as he ran past the Chelsea fans after winning it.

Love the fact that he never complains, is always ready to come in and give everything for the cause, and that there’s hardly any drop in quality when he replaces a world class teammate.
Love his attitude, his passion and his understanding of the club.
Love the fact that he looks like he spent the last 48 hours hard partying.
Love the guy and made up for him scoring that penalty.

There’s no one in the squad who deserved that moment more. He’s a top class player who’s been content to sit on the bench all season. Never moans, and in fact is usually the one who’s celebrating the most when we score.

It’s moments like that that make being a squad player here worthwile.

He’s a cunt.

Running off like that after the lads had just pulled 120 minutes out their asses. No one could catch the bugger.

Awesome moment. Fantastic player.

At least he gave Klopp an idea of who can play on Tuesday.

Kostas is definitely playing on Tuesday. No chance Robbo gets the nod over him. I’d play him against wolves too.

I meant those who chased him, I expect Tsimkas to start Tuesday. Might go back to Robbo on the Sunday but I would be willing to rest him.

“I have no song”, he says…
