I can understand the point been made Wirtz is only fully utilised when he has good options to feed. If we pick up 2 knocks at the minute those options vastly diminish in quality.
Kostas signing into TAN and jumping into his thread to see what all the fuss is about.
Sure. But Wirtz was of course bought for the contribution he will make over several seasons at least, not just this week. As the club are not yet finished with business for this window, and have clearly indicated they wish to bring new players in, isn’t it a bit too soon to question whether the club’s spending on him was misplaced?
There is no indication that the spending on Wirtz has left the club short of funds for other deals, while Hugo and Wirtz appear to be exactly the sort of players you would look to bring in to address the issues Arne talked about last season in regards to progressing the ball.
Quansah was never going to be good enough to play for Liverpool with the football he was getting under Slot. Slot just doesn’t trust him.
He might have a passageway back if he performs well in Leverkusen but as of now, we did well to get a deal there.
Pearce commenting on multiple transfers. Non-updates re. Isak, Guehi, and Elliott. Not a massive update on Tsimikas, but more of an update than the others so here goes the tweet. Apparently looking more likely that he’ll move abroad than stay in the prem
A loan might be a good move with it being this late in the transfer window. Have him back next summer when Robertsons contract might be running out if we don’t offer him a new one or if he doesn’t want to stay.
I’d turn down any potential deal next summer just get them to pay his wages.
It should be part of club policy to ban any loan approaches from Italian clubs.
Only really need to ban them if they are claiming they’ll buy the player at the end of the loan.
Doesn’t everyone know the terms of any Italian transfer?
I hope this falls through, and we keep Tsimi at least until January. Then, if Kerkez has proven beyond doubt that he can take up the mantle, and Robbo is still fit and running, he can go. Until then, I’d keep him.
A loan deal you say?
Perhaps, it would be wise to loan Kerkez instead. From what he has shown so far, Tsimi is a lot better and more consistent
Controversial first post Dienekis. Not Greek by any chance are you?
Yeah let’s chuck a bloke out after 2 games.
This is the tiresome nature of modern football, one to two games and “no he’s rubbish get rid”, ignorant that Tsmikas has been pillowed for at least a year.
Hugo won’t score a goal for a week or so and he will be called to be sold (though it seemed someone was suggesting he would replicate Nunez last week because he happened to score 2 goals like Nunez had).
It doesn’t particularly need to be spelled out how large a gap that would be.
It’s why I wouldn’t bother dealing with Italian clubs when selling.
