La Liga discussion

Barca really desperately trying to not to win La Liga this year. Away to midtable Levante with a win that would take them top (albeit having played a game more) and throw away a 2-0 and 3-2 lead to draw 3-3 on an 83rd minute equalizer

Was crazy that game at 2-0 I put it on because I needed three for my goals bet so I thought nothing else was on and then all of sudden itā€™s 2-2

Said that the remaining fixtures would throw up surprises.

Sevilla leading Valencia, not that it matters much at this point. Atletico face Sociedad later tonight.

Athletico won again. 4 points clear of barca and 5 clear of Real who have a game in hand.

If Athletico win their remaining 2 fixtures they win the league. I hope they do it, and we see a change from the usual La Liga champions. Plus I still like Suarez so would be nice to see him win another La Liga after Barca ditched him.

I donā€™t like any of them but for a change it would be better for Ath Madrid to win, love to see Sevilla finish higher than 4th and demote one of the other two into 3/4

I hope Atletico picks a nice manager after Simone leaves. Feel so dirty supporting such a wanker of a team.

I donā€™t mind Simeone.

He has done one hell of a job there to be fair

I think Simone is judged leniently due to the fact that he took over when Atletico was really struggling. I like Simone (I like these thuggish midfielders who do their job no matter what ) and I think he did a commendable job in stabilizing Atletico.

But if you consider the length of his tenure and the money he has spent, they have actually stagnated over last few seasons.

I never really thought about it, so I went over to Transfermarkt and I was surprised to learn that his net spend actually isnā€™t that big, about 150 million euros in total since he joined the club. I have a soft spot for those bastards, I guess itā€™s ā€œanyone except Real Madrid and Barcelonaā€. I really hope they win the title.

Itā€™s same for me as well. I never support the big clubs in any leagues. I used to support Valencia earlier.

Itā€™s not the net spent but the signings, specially the big ones that raises red-flags:
Felix 127m
Lemar 72m
Costa 60m
Vitolo 36m

In fact, you will not find many inspiring signings.

Iā€™m kind of surprised he hasnā€™t moved on, especially when Ath Madrid were in the final of the CL. Irony is they felt like they had peaked and yet here we are.

I think he is a class manager.

Any manger who can win the league with real and Barca in is doing a good job.

Done well in Europe too

Granada vs. Real tonight. Please, please, please; let someone other than Barcelona or Real win the league.

I think itā€™s pretty much the Madrid teams now

A Madrid - Osasuna (H), Valladolid (A)
R Madrid - Bilbao (A), Villarreal (H)

Barca has Vigo and Eibar and Sevilla play Villarreal and Alaves.

Iā€™m surprised that no bigger news outlets seem to be picking up on the rumours of Zidaneā€™s impending departure from Real Madrid. The rumours have it that heā€™s already decided to leave them, with Raul being the primary candidate to replace him.

Zidane has a year left.

Raul!!! Seem to me knowing about club is his overwhelming trait.

Absolute belter of a game between Atletico and Osasuna, I turned it on literally a few seconds before Osasuna had scored. Atletico are all but done and they start attacking and score two beautiful goals, the second one by Suarez. I really hope they can hang onto this.

If AtlƩtico beat Real Valladolid on the final day they will be crowned champions.

If Atleti draw and Real Madrid beat Villarreal, Zidaneā€™s side will finish first on head-to-head
