La Liga discussion

Yea but you have a family who after at this point after “losing” you to football for the last decade or so would want you to spend time with them post football. Afterall the economic gains for the sacrifice is so they can enjoy life together after retirement and you have to be alive and healthy to do that. While football is life to alot of these players, there is still more than half a lifetime to go with your loved ones. Can sympathize with him but there are priorities bigger sometimes in life.

family comes first. 100%. no arguement here.

going from the pressures of playing proffessional football to walking the dog with the family before cooking lunch is hardly good for your mental health i would have thought though.

regardless…thats not my point…not even his family would want him to never play footer again…hes maradonas son in law isnt he? or did i just make that up(not sure)…i think of all the football families maradonas would be aware of the pitfalls of a bored rich man without any structure.

He could go into coaching.

He isn’t winning La Liga to be honest not with them, was a bit surprised he didn’t go to MLS to be fair.

not so sure.

Barca arent a million miles away from winning that league.

not favorites, not by a long shot, but one or two right moves and they are well and truely back in the mix.

i get it, money etc etc…but…i feel theres a rabbit in that hat

It was a weird move in my opinion from Barca in the first place. With or without Messi. With especially, but also without (but with Depay). I don’t see him going into management or head coaching after he stops playing.

I think it is as it was with Suarez, having RM or Barca on your footballing CV means a lot to them.

Talking more of the time Aguero had left anyhow.

They might somehow fluke the CL but again I can’t see it. But they were hopefully out played by Bayern and Benfica they look good at the moment but it’s only because they beat DK twice.

Apparently Ousmane Dembele is out of contract in June, but Barcelona are trying to get him to sign at reduced wages this month.

With all the clubs that Barcelona has bullied, surely someone is willing to muddy the waters with the prospect of a Bosman at better wages than he is getting now.

maybe.

but i have my doubts.

for all of Barcas ineptitude, surely theyve gauged the market before offering this player a contract.

if im in Dembeles boots, i cant see a better option than sticking around and waiting for the bounce back. limie has already indicated how good the youth is there…if they land Xavi, its a perfect storm.

i just dont know who Dembele signs for thats a good career move…maybe one of the desperate italian clubs trying to keep pace with the games giants? even then…

Newcastle, obviously!

They expect it to be all done in 2022 - that looks like an awful lot of work to try and complete by next year! Albeit it’s been underway for quite a while now.

Expect it to cost a fuck tonne too. Will be a pretty special stadium when it’s done.

Xavi is set to become new Barca manager.

I hope it goes really badly for him and Barca.

Risky move from Xavi, hope he has some assurances in place around expectations especially around these next 2-3 years
