I think the caveat to that must be the team and manager he’s playing for. I get its worked for them but for a player like that it must sure suck the life out of you to get up everyday and have to go to training let alone on match days.

Canada TSN is showing the Deportivo Alavés vs Granada match (2-3 at the moment with side line handbags), I managed to catch the Granada 3rd goal…counter attack and what a no look pass from the left to inside the box. Talking about understanding between teammates.
Really interesting selection from Carlo in the Classico. Benzema, their 34 year old striker, is out injured and he’s responded by picking an additional midfielder. I’m not sure whether he’s going 4 in midfield or playing Valverde out of position, but not just sticking in another forward as a replacement is indication of how terribly Real have spent their money the last several years. Isco, Bale, Hazard, Asensio, Jovic all available, but all overlooked in favour of a box to box midfielder who hasnt established himself there yet.
Clearly there is a LOT of room there for summer signings who can actually contribute.

I don’t like this from Real with Modric playing so high (sometimes also Kroos), you can’t have him so isolated from the game.
I was sure they would start Asensio, who covered the false #9 role at times lately when they didn’t have Benzema.
