I was never a big fan of the French but it is safe to say that after last night it is at a all time low … 
I wonder why the big stand on the right is empty? It’s their ‘Kop’ so to say. Were they under safety restrictions, or punished for previous transgressions?
Anyway, I’m sad to see St-Etienne go down. It’s a club with genuine fans and genuine passion for their club. As we see, that passion can sometimes overflow and become dangerous, but in general terms, it’s a club with a soul and a history.
Anyway, they will be back one day, hopefully soon.

I sometimes bet on French football and I’ve seen a fair few stoppages in that league this season so I assume it was the case most of the season. I’m sure Bordeaux also suffered.
