Other news Gérard Lopez looks set to be the next owner of Girodins de Bordeaux.
He’s an entrepreneur in technology, energy and sports. He owned Lille from 2017 to 2020 but was forced to sell due to dettes amounting to 120M€ (little resumé from wiki).
No idea who he is but it’s not the local involvement that was hoped for.

Donnarumma took number 50 at PSG as he can’t have 99.

:joy: :man_facepalming:t2:

If that was me, I would have asked for 49.5

Gerard Lopez seems set to take over the Girodins de Bordeaux (should be accepted the 20 July).
However he has conditions such as 13 of the highest paid and highest valued players being off the books with at least €41 million being made. Also a manager has to be found.
Reducing the wage bill is paramount and is a condition for any take over set by the DNCG (who have provisionally relegated Bordeaux to Ligue 2 (for fault finacial).

13 players for €41 million? That’s pretty cheap.

Some will be released on frees others sold (€41 million is the minimum wanted and could be after new recruits (it’s all a bit unclear)). They have to balance the books is what it’s about.
I can see the supporters getting even more vocal, they haven’t got anything they wanted, have lost their players and could end up in ligue 2.

to be fair it looks like my pillow. :smirk:

Didn’t realise he had become a fan of copying the Buddha image.!

So potentially this year PSG have brought in

Donnarumma
Ramos
Gini
and potentially Messi

On a free.

You have to say that’s decent business

Looks like a retirement home.

Everyone of those signings makes them better. Age is nothing

Would like to see their real wage bill.

How old are you? :astonished:

For a club that wants a CL success and who can going forward easily buy for the future, the likes of Ramos and Messi definitely makes them stronger. They lacked the mentality to win in the latter stages of competitions and it’s players like Ramos who brings that extra.

Absolutely dislike Ramos but that’s a player you need to take you from how they dropped their shoulders last season after conceding to City to fighting back.

Ramos for me
Is a complete cunt, not just because of the Salah thing - look at his red card record.

But is he a player you want on your side when you are in the trenches - absolutely.

35 years young.

Seriously though those players could play into their late 30s at PSG. No problems
