Liverpool Coaching Staff

Personally, I think it strange that they would allow the coach to enter into the final year of his contract unless there were serious misgivings about him continuing beyond that 1 year otherwise they would have got a new contract infront of him 6 months ago, or even longer considering we just came of a league winning season.

I found it a bit strange, but it’s not the same situation as with players. Both parties might be willing to continue at least a bit more and see if there’s agreement over extending it. Or we part ways in the summer of 2027, if not before. As for us adding a staff member with a pre-season and season ahead, for me there’s nothing weird there. It doesn’t mean Slot will get a brand new contract because we’re finally able to land Reijnen. And it doesn’t mean his job is secure however we start next season. But yes, it can be a little extra sign that he will indeed be in charge at least in the next few months. Still, let’s wait for Reijnen in being official.

It’s not that strange considering what we have watched these past 12 months. They must have serious misgivings, I’d be shocked if they didn’t, which probably leads back to whose feeding the narrative and who isn’t.

Seen post that Thiago Alcântara was at Kirkby today, possibly joining the coaching staff?

I don’t believe it, he is a worldcup pundit atm. I’ve seen him together with Chicharito and Schmeichel over there.

Apparently Elphick turned down the top jobs at Burnley and Sheffield Utd over the last weeks. Also turned down Bristol City in May.

I joked a few weeks ago that “you got me lone ranger” was stuck in my head. I finally got it out and now you all have to suffer (enjoy?) with me
