Even last season, I thought I priority should have been a CB. Instead, we bought a bunch of attacking players.
Stef has been ‘carefully managed’ for two years now. Such a shame. I was hoping to see him in one of the Como games.
If it’s any help, whenever I see your name, I get sitar music playing in my head.
It was Hugo.
2 points for me.
I so wish for the pre-season to end. The off-season was long but this seems longer.
The Newcastle game feels like a big game already. Having said that there so much lack of expectation on my part it is rather odd. I’m eager to see how we set up, how we play and how we do throughout the 90. The defence will obviously be a work in progress and so will the attack. The midfield will be of most interest both in terms of make up and set up. Am hoping that in the last pre-season game we get a glimpse of where we are and where we’re headed.
Brilliant post, finally someone talking sense rather than we are doomed.
Getting players to the level of fitness they were before Arne will be the a major boost and add to that Andoni’s coaching and open mindness to every player will be a massive step in getting us back towards the top of the perch.
This may take a little time, but patience is needed.
I watched the latest snippet of training and loved that the intensity and competitiveness was back.
It is actually quite nice seeing Isak laughing and joking with team-mates, as he came with a reputation of being a bit of a loner in the dressing room.
Hoping that we finally see Jacquet in a game for us on Sunday
You would think so, seeing as we’re playing Como twice on the same day! I still think that’s a bit strange.
I’ll do my best to catch both games, but honestly it’s been a while since I could Como twice in the same day.
The kick-off time for the first match is being brought forward by half an hour.

I think quite a few teams are having double headers like us before the start of the season.
