Yes, but I have seen the same thing mentioned by someone else before
Not missing tonight for the world, up until 2am on a Saturday morning? Not a fucking problem.
Should be a solid stern test for the young lads up against what should hopefully be a strong Betis side, wouldnāt think many of their players were away on internationals this month.
Here is Jones on the subject:
āThe centre-mids were always lads who were runners and more disciplined.
āThe principles are the same, but I feel that now the centre-mids are going to be more the heart of the team.
āMo is still going to get his goals, but in terms of our build-up, itās how comfortable and calm we have to be and play more as a team.
āWeāre not in a rush to attack, we want to have the ball and break teams down and that gives us a chance, if we give the ball way, we can go and press.
āI feel in the past it was a rush to get the ball back and it was a little bit too direct, up and down, up and down.
āNow itās going to be where he wants us to have all the ball and just completely kill teams.ā
Letās see how it works against the low block then again the other system struggled at times. I do think we will see less of the silly games like Spurs a few seasons back.
Comes with its own questions but I do think Kloppās systems did wear out our players at times.
It worked but yeah this last season or two Iāve been a bit concerned of burn on certain players.
It is the essence of geggenpress so I donāt get why itās so revelatory
Arneās approach appears to be not to lose the ball in the first place.
Itās not even really Kloppās system, it was Lijnders who had the most influence over our tactical set up.
We all know it looked a big ragged, even when we were top of the league, last season. The run up to, and including, the League Cup final was a crazy time where it just seemed we couldnāt control a game but kept popping up with the goals.
Rafa is back!
Seriously, a bit more control over a game will be good for our blood-pressure, but possibly a bit boring, especially against teams who park the bus. We will see. This is Arneās first season with us, he doesnāt know anything about the PL, so heāll surely evolve over time if heās good.
Iād rather have boring and 3 points than gung-ho and 1.
Seeing the likes of Kelleher still with 62, Quansah 78, Bradley 84, Bajcetic 43ā¦
Right. But with Klopp it was mostly gung-ho, and still three ponts at the end. Slot really has a lot of work ahead of him in order to live up with what we have got accustomed to since so long.
In our first team we have had 4 players who have played the role to a meaningful degree. None are yet back in training with the first team
Even allowing for the absence of other players, would it be that unusual for the coach to just stretch a playerās development by getting them to train for a different position for a short while?
Not another one!
