Overall a good workout, looming forward to seeing Hugo next game, lots of postives and hopefully tiredness affected our positional decision making defensively.

Watching Harvey and Wirtz together on the pitch first half, it’s telling to me the difference in levels, and Wirtz is actually younger than Harvey.

That’s old news, Apparently we are getting relegated….

It’s a fitness exercise ffs. Everton have drawn with Accrington and lost to Blackburn so far. They might be crap but not that crap.

Endo doesnt seem to have been involved today and I havent seen an explanation for that anywhere.

Saved for Japan games.

He’s ill.

Importance: New CB >>>>> Isak.

Because as someone pointed out it’s his best game in about a year.

No Chiesa today either? :see_no_evil_monkey:

Sad for Joe Gomez. Hopefully it is minor and he gets right asap. As soon as you up the intensity a bit in preseason, the possibility of injuries increases, but it’s a shame it is him with the track record he has.

If nothing else, it should sharpen the focus as to what we need to do in the window.

As for the game, nice run out. You never want to set too much store on preseason results, although a win would have been nice for the many reds who showed up. Fair play to them.

A nice reminder of the existence of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, too. Years ago I thought he would rise to the very top but he sort of got lost in the crowd at Chelsea.

We need a minimum of 2 CB additions this window. We can’t rely on the fitnesses of Gomez and Konate all season.

There absolutely no speed left in Robertson’s legs.

I tell you what though, for someone who apparently hasn’t been very good for the last season, a goal involvement every 142 minutes across Serie A and the Champions league compared with Luis Diaz’s best season with us of one every 127 minutes isn’t too shabby.

He can’t get a break this poor lad!

Let’s hope he doesn’t. If he does, it’ll most likely be his ankle that gets broken.

He is a very talented player but very poor attitude drifts in and out of games a bit like the Newcastle winger.

Leao is a coach killer. At his best he is comparable to the best version of Diaz, but Diaz never fails to put in a shift and so offers tremendous value even when not directly producing, whereas multiple coaches have found themselves fighting for their job precisely because Leao isnt that guy.
