I am not worried about today’s loss as we have lost a few in last seasons pre season games, the whole point of it is to try out a few things and find out where we need reinforcements and with Gomez injury it has highlighted the next job for Hughes to find two good CHs(Guehi maybe?

These are pre season games with a hell of a lot of changes and Slot is trying to make sure everyone gets some minutes.
Anyone concerned about results is being silly. I have concerns over central defence but I do expect we will make one signing soon enough.
Newcastle move for Etikike and it suddenly judders us into moving.

I really enjoyed our 1st half attacking display as we were so varied, we attacked wide down both sides through Mo and Rio, we switched play to great effect and we had excellent penetration through the middle with Wirtz, Szob and Harvey.
The signs for me were really positive as the above was against a parked and compact defense, Wirtz offers us so much variety and I think Hugo will add to this and remember Macca hasn’t been involved yet!
Salivating over the football we can produce attacking wise.

Looked similar to PSG - at least in the 1st half (the only part of the match I watched). We’re not as committed as PSG in trying to retain the ball instantly and reverted to being patient in getting our turn with the ball. The balance between attack and defence, in the individual positions, will be key.

A few of our players were being a bit silly too. Mo trying to set up Wirtz for a debut goal, when he could have just buried it. Nyoni deciding he wanted to beat all their players in the box, instead of tapping it in.
Nothing to be concerned about at all.
