We got beaten by both shitty and manure in preseason before but still finished higher in the league anyway Tenhag was fretting on the bench as if he was playing in the CL final

I know its a quite time for sports news at the minute but the over reaction of the press is pure gold.

Here is more garbage

They need to be reminded me beat Barca 4-0 and then lost to Hertha Berlin 4-0 within a day of each other.

Would take us 3 years to beat Barca 4-0 again.

Granted I only watched highlights but Liverpool looked to show enough tonight to be relatively pleased. Not really arsed about the goal we let in - despite losing 4-0. It looks like our youngsters gave their first team a bit of a rough ride in the first half.

I did say about Mabaya before the game that if he gets a 1v1 opportunity he will knock it and run - first highlight was him picking it up and abolutely burning Luke Shaw to get a near post cross in. He’s a couple of years away from the first team, but what a bright prospect.

Elliott and Carvalho looked the business.

Diaz was lively.

Nat and Rhys cost us £‘s.

Darwin’s got a blister.

United in midseason form…diving, rolling around, and time wasting spot on!

Completely forgot this was happening and just found out the score now.

Meh!

Didn’t see it, but the correct view of preseason matches is to get a bit of fitness going, get a few patterns going, first at half pace, then ramping up the intensity the closer to the real kick off you get. Oh, and obviously you chop and change a lot too, so you introduce lots of different players and allow people a bit of time to get up to speed.

It’s never nice to lose a game, especially to them, but we all know the score.

This is but a tiny part of the overall strategy, and when the proper action begins we will be so much better than now.

Man Utd can enjoy their day in the spotlight. Let their fans lap it up, first page on the Beeb and all. Hopefully it gives them a false picture of where they truly are.
