Would really like to see a new face in midfield before the window shuts. Only a friendly but hard to take losing against to the Mancs especially by four goals.

Was impressed by the first team we put out. Was doing well until the goal. Mabaya, Elliott, Diaz and Carvalho excited me. Hopefully another few more days at pre season and we play a bit better

Probably why theyâve all been given half an hour - and not more. Likely they are more than fit enough to actually play 60+.
A few takeaways from the game for me
~ Three teams over 90 mins shows how seriously we were taking this. No worries over the score, fitness key, everyone gets a run out.
~ Elliott looked the absolute business. I think itâs going to be the season he properly breaks out.
~ Carvalho and Mabaya looked great going forward. Mabaya looked a bit lazy in defence, but thatâs not an issue. That will get sorted.
~ Nat didnât do much for his chances of a permanent move. Really bad mistake at the worst time for him.
~ Milner is ageless. Best player on the pitch over the 90.
~ Was willing that Mo Salah shot in near the end. Beautiful pick out. Nunez should have done better with the rebound.
~ Had to laugh at the commentator saying Maguire had travelled but wasnât fit to play the game. I thought âChrist, thatâs harsh. Itâs only a friendlyâ

After 20 seconds scouring the world. The scums bus parade is tomorrow at 2pm. Nunez is a bullet they dodged. Ten Hag has got âthem playing his wayâ. We will be relegated by christmas.

Did they do some running and passing and all that general footy stuff at about 60% of full speed? Yes.
Did some kids get a chance to experience playing with some senior pros? Yes.
Did anyone get injured? No.
Good pre-season game in my book then.

Only saw a few mins - the mins we smashed them but couldnt put ball in net
Elliott reminded me of Coutinho in the way he moved, passed the ball and was finding pockets of space.

An American united supporting friend of mine, who has semi-jokingly talked all summer of trying to find a new team to support, just texted me furious about the result saying we were trolling Utd to make them look good in the hope they would be encouraged to keep outcasts like Martial for the coming season.

If this was the City game in 3 weeks time Iâd probably still not be massively concerned, there seems to have been enough put out there.
If Man Utd kid themselves they are back based on this then more fool them.
