The match is said to be as part of a tribute to former Liverpool midfielder Michael Robinson, who went on to play the final two years of his career with the Spanish side before becoming a household name in Spain for his TV and media work.

All three of our first fixtures are televised, all on a Saturday, one midday and two 5.30 kick offs.

It isn’t even a week since the fixture has been announced and already there’s change. Don’t PL consult with Sky before preparing the fixture?

There are always changes for TV…

No. They can’t really. The fixtures have to he generated then the TV companies can decide which games to show and slight changes can be made. Otherwise big games like United V Liverpool would be on every boxing day and City v Liverpool last game of the season etc. If the TV companies were involved in drawing up the original fixtures.

The games are same as before, so I guess only the timings has been changed.

Again: this is how it works. The fixture list is published; then kick off times get shifted about for television coverage but have to remain in the same game week.

I added the .ics file from the following fixture site to my calendar. They updated the calendar fairly regularly (if I remember correctly, they also add the scores afterwards).

CL and other cups (FA, energy drinks) related fixtures will be added later.

So you are saying he will play all our CL and FA Cup games! Love your optimism…

I would love some type of status and our main injuries, where they are in rehab phase, etc. I think last I saw was Joe and Virgil doing ball work. Not sure if they were 100% at the contact phase. Matip I have no idea where he is in fitness terms. Ibu seems 100%, and his lack of playing time seems to have been down to not screwing up a done deal. He was fine in the 21 tournament. Trent 3 weeks away? That position not as critical as the 3 CB injuries, we have a few options there I think.

Hopefully Klopp will have all four of his CB to train together. :palms_up_together:

So is Osasuna our only announced fixture, I assume we may have that camp or maybe not.

Personally, I dread the National team matches, African Cup matches and the Olympics. Salah IMHO should not be allowed to play outside the team except maybe for the National Team matches. He is a franchise player to the club and it’s a shame if he gets injured or is not with the team for The Whole season of fixtures. I also include all our top players who play in other matches. I support the stand the manager/management is taking. It’s to bad there isn’t a club mechanism to stop players from outside competitions such as declaring certain players protected and compensate them.

After last season crushing injuries I for one would like to see a healthy team starting with all top ranked players in house and contributing. It’s going to be a rough season I’m afraid but we have the talent and the team to take back the title. I can’t wait for the new season to start!

They need to get rid of him, he’s to damn injury prone. Shak is another one I hope they unload. Yes he’s done well for the Swiss team but for the Reds and their style of play he doesn’t seem to produce like he should be able to.

We don’t have any confirmed preseason fixture, yet. Osasuna, Rangers, etc. are all mooted.
