Liverpool Season: 2021-22

Klopp out!!!

Yeah a great season would be the CL or title winning season. The Quadruple would have needed a new word but there is no disgrace in a good season and I’m proud they were still fighting after 63 games.

Great may be too strong, but I think Good understates just how well we have performed this year. We yet again got 90+ points in a season and missed out on the league title by a point while City have benefitted from dodgy decisions like that one against Wolves and the two in our first draw against Spurs that could easily have seen final positions reversed. Throw in another CL final where we had our chances to win it, it has simply got to be more than a good season.

I’m therefore willing to call it a great season unless we can find another more apt description

If it does happen, it will be us again.

We accomplished something this season no other English team has ever done, playing in the final day of the season with the quadruple on. Not sure that will ever be equaled.

Anyone who thinks this wasn’t a great season needs to give their head a wobble.

Imagine if we were playing in the Championship play-off final yesterday as well!!

We would have been playing on the final final day of the season with the quintuple on!!!

I’d say 8 out of 10.

Winning the CL or EPL would be 10/10.

Winning the quad would have been 100/10.

Some utter drivel here:

But to be great, to win the biggest prizes, to beat City, they may need just a little more guile.

No; what we need are referees to make the correct decisions, like awarding a penalty when Jota gets bundled over or Rodri blatantly handballs.

I admit I was a little bit disappointed not to win the quadruple.
Now the dust has settled.
I believe we had a great season. Fighting on all fronts until the last day.
The outcome:
1.
1.
2.
2.

If that isn‘t a great season I don‘t know what is.
And next season we will go again.
