Liverpool v Chelsea (ELC Final 27/2/22 4.30pm) , Thanks Kepa & Tuchel

Just won the cup and there are people debating who is celebrating properly and who isn’t up to scratch.

Haha, fucks sake.

He was on the pitch for 46 minutes, and spent 45 of them offside.

The only offside call that was in anyway dubious was the one on Virgil.

The lines were unnecessary as it had already been established that Virg was offside. The question was whether he was interfering with play. Which in my opinion he wasn’t.

Didn’t see you much around here right after the match…

Angling for a summer transfer?

Was the same with CL parade if I remember rightly. Initially there were people trying to say he wasn’t even on the bus as they couldn’t see him. Turns out he just wasn’t one for the spotlight (and probably the alcohol floating about).

I think a lot is being blown out of proportion here. Same with Jones and Ox. They’re both going to be disappointed not to have played. Part of that disappointment will be with themselves that they haven’t been doing enough to convince Klopp to play them more. They are elite professional athletes with a very short career window to be involved in finals. I’ve no problem with some disappointment from them for not having been involved. Same way i’ve no problem with the likes of Adrian and Kostas making the most of it even though their involvement was limited.

Both that goal and Lukaku’s would have stood in every other level of football … VAR ends up looking for reasons to disallow rather than reasons to allow.

BTW I can’t get that song in the dressing room out of my head now…what is it?

You can see Mane clearly tell Taki to put down the bottle of champers and then totally back off just as they start to spray it. Totally understandable.

When I watched the support for Ukraine at the start and we started singing YNWA, was it me or was there a lot of booing from the chavs? Surely they understand we weren’t trying to take the moment away from Ukraine but we just happen to have the best and most fucking fitting anthem in the world for this particular moment?

EDIT: I just watched it back on some highlights from Sky Sports and the booing is a lot less noticeable though I think they cut the video before the chavs started booing louder. It probably didn’t help that we continued to sing YNWA through the national anthem.

Hasslewank was so annoying in the studio after the game, we were lucky, Naby should have been red carded, lukaku goal should have stood , Silva better than Virgil etc .

Looks kinda iffy, you know…

Looks offside to me. I’m not sure it should be offside, but given the interpretation of the rule over the last few years it definitely is consistent with that.

WOW just WOW ! Very competitive match played at a cracking pace. Well matched teams . They have a tendency to be more brutal than LFC and many of their tackles looked very close to being out of control but they seemed to win the ball fairly most of the time. We looked a bit more composed and in control. Justice was done in the end and every one of our guys can feel deservedly proud of themselves.
Special mention to Kelleher and Diaz.

Probably the best 0-0 game I’ve seen. I must admit I thought we got lucky with Lukaku’s goal but on the flip side but Matip’s goal was harshly ruled out.

Those pens were brilliant so pleased for Kelleher MOTM.

Mendy going off Tuchel did us a massive favour.

Love this team.
