Hendo and Firmino should be brought in on short term contracts…

Rather play Clark, Hendo will also cost unless you loan

Núñez is the one who keeps the two CB busy why in the world would you bench him :triumph:

I think that pretty much guarantees Van Dijk.

Because he played 90mins on Sunday and we have lads dropping like flies.

Thank fuck we have a break after this one.

Kelleher - Bradley - VVD - Quansah - Gomez ----McAllister - Jones - Gravenberch ---- Elliott - Jota - Diaz.
Konate, Nunez and Gakpo the only senior players on the bench.

Just get through the 90 with a lead and no more injuries, it’s about all we can ask at this point.

I think, full backs aside, it is going to be a strong team.

Obviously Owen Beck is going to play. Because why the fuck would you disrupt a loan that’s going really well otherwise. I really hope that Klopp isn’t tempted to move Gomez to the other side to cover Trent. Give Bradley this one. Gomez must be in the Red Zone. Let him have a full two weeks. Losing him at this point would be a full blown crisis.

As for the rest of the team, it’s ten days off after this, and if they put on a show tonight, there could be another week off after Bournemouth for some of them.

Get through this and see what is the case in in ten days. If we can then get some back for the Chelsea game after Bournemouth which would be our next PL game then I think we can manage with rotation, a good result here allows Klopp some leeway.

It’s probably come at the worse/best time. I’m sort of glad we play on the latter weekend anyhow as it should mean Dom is back and will give us some clues to how long the rest should be.

Win at home means Fulham have to come out and play in the return leg…
Our European experience will serve us well in this game

Crazy to think that there are 14 days between both legs (Bournemouth away from home three days before the second leg) and the only player to return from injury by then will be Szoboszlai.

Really can not afford any more injuries in the next 3-4 weeks.

Expecting Fulham to sit very deep and try to somehow get a draw which would give them a psychological advantage for the second leg.

Will be tough to break them down so we have to be very patient and careful when they get the chance to counter.

Let’s see.

I have to say I’m surprised the diagnosis on Tskimas.

The club won’t be taking it more than one game at a time.

I think you are right which is why I would start Curtis ahead of Gravenbech who IMO lacks a bit of fire. Would also start Nunez ahead of Gakpo , his aggression and work rate will be needed and he has to find his goal touch soon surely.

Won’t happen, I already visited Anfield on our last home game last season and said goodbye. It’s done…

I’d rather start with 9 players.

Fulham showed they’re a side that combines defending, pressing and like Lijnders said, if you let them play, they certainly will. We saw that in the last 4-3 league game. With the players we’re missing, their chance for a first ever trophy, I can see them trying to build on the good things they showed against us. Of course they will try and be solid, but I don’t expect them to only defend all game. It’s a semi-final, you have to show something to go through.

Plenty of quality to chose from over the next few games

Kelleher/Allison
Bradley Konate/Quansah VvD Gomez
Elliott/Clark MacAllister/McConnell Jones/Gravenberch
Diaz Nunez/Gakpo Jota

Will we ever be able to add Bajcetic or Thiago to the squad? Fuck me how long….
