Liverpool v Sunderland (EPL 3/12/25 20:15)

Keep the same team , with the possible exception of swapping out Joe for either Curtis or Ramsay if he’s feeling it after yesterday.

We’ve got something to build on now , let’s not just jettison what worked because of any sentimentality.

I can’t imagine Joe playing another full match so soon. Can’t Ramsay get a game? What’s the situation with our other right backs?
Mo is bound to start, whatever we think. Let’s hope the rest has done him good.
Otherwise, don’t change a winning team!

The most important match of the season!
A must win and a confidence booster (or not)!

I’m sure that Arne and his team will know the personnel, formation and tactics to see us through this game. COYR YNWA :+1:

Crazy. ‘Don’t change a winning team’ just add a guy who has consistently this season shown he isn’t currently of the calibre to play.

The day before Diogos Birthday

Whatever we do, keep the box-shape in midfield when in possession.

That can be done with either winger left out.

Match officials for this match:
Referee: Stuart Attwell.
Assistants: Constantine Hatzidakis, Adrian Holmes.
Fourth official: Dean Whitestone.
VAR: Tim Wood.
Assistant VAR: Matt Donohue.

Have we had Tim Wood at all? The name doesn’t ring a bell.

Has anyone seen much of Sunderland this year? They seem to be getting some decent results for a newly promoted team.

They don’t still have that fecking beach ball do they?

Mo is likely to be off to the Afcon on Dec. 8th, so that’s a good reason not to play him. Why disrupt a winning line-up for what could be just one game? He might be off to the Afcon any day now as Egypt are playing a friendly on Dec. 7th. Or he might go on Dec. 8th if FIFA decides that the mandatory release date is two weeks before the tournament begins.

The annoying thing is that it was an LFC beach ball thrown on by one of our fans…

Still on display here I think.

Their form is the same as ours

I remember that day in Sunderland, what a horror. We went 3 at the back and Spearing started in midfield.

In our following league game against United at Anfield, the Kop threw a new bunch of beachballs onto the pitch just before kick off.

:joy:

They seem to have an excellent goalkeeper from what I have been reading.

Seen bits of them , and they certainly look committed. Current form however suggests their bubble might have already burst.

Hopefully along with the beachball.

Yeah, I agree about Mo, but I just don’t think Arne does. He was justifying Mo’s absence on the grounds of resting him and I’m not sure he’s prepared to drop him twice in a row. I hope you’re right though.
