He should be tracking one of them though. If you watch back, his effort levels once the ball goes past him is minimal. He either tracks the runner behind Trent or the bloke near him who scores. He makes zero effort to do either.
My theory is that he is too good to let him be backup for Mo and that’s one of the reasons Klopp plays him in midfield.
