League cup already rejected that, all 4 of the semi finalists wanted it one leg. Too much money involved so request was rejected.
You sure that Adrian’s caught it?
I’m skeptical.
@Kopstar beat me to it.
If they postpone this one does it mean we play the first leg at home?
Depends on if arsenal have an outbreak I suppose, next week’s fixture should remain unaffected
Season has become a farce.
Oh they’ll definitely reschedule it, league cup forced two legs anyway for money, and they won’t like losing it because of covid. It’ll probably be early February if I had to guess

Orient had to forfeit v spurs in this cup.
I think we will be made to play as there’s nowhere to fit these games in. Jan was busy already.
It will be interesting to see what happens.
I think if we don’t have this one rescheduled, after the Club World Cup fiasco, the club should just consider not bothering with an entry next season. It no longer serves any real purpose, and the big clubs contribute far more than they derive from it.
I hope we get a postponement considering how few players we have. But it maybe there is no time and we have to play reserves
Which would suck since we are in real need of some titles, even one little one such as this.

Yeah, this worries me. If Orient had to do that, it must be the same for us for reasons of Fair Play. But did Orient have to forfeit just like that or were they offered postponement first to a date that was unacceptable ?
Count me 100 percent on board with this suggestion

Apparently, Leyton Orient asked for a reschedule but were denied that request even though their team was full of COVID, forcing them to forfeit. I just googled and read up a bit. If so, then it is clear as day that we need to play or forfeit as well. We will have no other option but to field the reserves mixed in with some first team players and just hope for the best.
It would probably be a travesty and against Fair Play if the League Cup treats Liverpool Football Club differently.
Edit: However, this was in 2020, so a different season but even so.
Surely this means the Afcon stars were at the very least exposed as well. Once again highlighting the absurdity of international football during a pandemic
It seems it was called off because congestion didn’t allow it to be replayed.
There are spaces for this to be played along with Shrewsbury (though the latter will probably be in that International period as was the previous cup replay was during the mid season break).
As outlined here:
Covid-19 forcing Leyton Orient to forfeit match with Spurs is a sign of...
The League Cup is low on the priority list for big clubs and a second wave of Covid-19 has increased the chances of cup fixtures being scrapped
If the whole training complex is shut down then they can’t provide a team and it would be stupid to do so anyhow. If we are forced to forfeit then as others have said we just don’t bother with it next season especially with that World Cup in November/December.
Shrewsbury meanwhile will want our game to happen so that eithier happens in the break or on 4th round day.
