When you see the ball in behind to Martinelli you’d think it would have had to come at the end of a sequence where they moved the ball around to pull us out of position. It was not. The ball was at the feet of the CB and one pass later that ball in behind was on.
It’s not just Trent failing to let his man get in behind or Virgil losing track of the only man who could score. It’s just how little they are required to do to get the ball into dangerous situations. It’s unfathomably bad.
