That’s about it. An U21 team losing to a solid Prem team.
Given the sequence of losses, this isn’t fun at all. But hopefully people will have some perspective about it, given the side we put out. If this is to be a loss, as looks likely, hopefully we move on to better with the bulk of the side now rested.

That’s fucking stupid. Gomez cannot watch someone make a run, and gamble that he’s going to end up offside. He has to go with the man, and rely on his teammates to cover the space he leaves.
Endo is the one who gets dragged out, leaving Gomez trying to cover two players.
I don’t understand why he’s not got more first teamers on the bench.
When in poor form, we should look to be strong and turn the tide. Not just bend over and get fked…again.

I enjoy seeing our upcoming players to see whay they offer, if we didn’t have injuries to 5 players maybe we would have seen more experienced players, but hey ho, prefer to lose this and win on Saturday

Why? they have basically a full team by having 5 first teamers available to come on, especially when we have a depleted squad thriugh injuries makes no sense.

He probably wants to give the first team the whole week to clear their heads and get ready for Saturday, and having made that decision he doesn’t want the temptation of having first teamers on the bench.
