You look at the 2 team sheets and they should have won by a shed load as palace atm are a very good team and cause all 1st teams issues.
This wasn’t even a 2nd team and I understand why we didn’t push our 1st team in this game with what is a short term injury crisis with 5 out.

Thats the thing wirh tonight beat Villa tonight can be argued away. Lose to Villa the pressure on Slot increases 1000 fold.

Absolutely no chance we’d have won this trophy.
With the way things are going we very well could have lost with our better first 11 out there anyway which would have wrecked morale more and amped up pressure. Teamed with the need for a fit squad right now, it just would’t have been a good decision.

Because we had no forward outlet so Palace didn’t have to worry defensively and realitically they had a lucky 1st goal, goid 2nd and wecwere down to 10 for the 3rd.
Looking at the teams they should have swarmed us.
