Shrewsbury Brentford, Leicester (again), and place all in Jan can be beaten with rotated line ups (not as rotated as this). Chelsea is the only truly challenging game left in the winter run.

thats why i take bobby off at the halfā€¦dude looks on a mission

Firmino deserves to be playing with a different set of players. Looks great tonight. Maybe get Jota and Keita on so he doesnā€™t end up going insane.

Dissapointing from Minamino, poor showing. Kelleher was abysmal on their first and nowhere near their third despite it being in the middle of the goal.

Iā€™d get Konate, Milner/Keita and Jota on if Klopp cares about winning this.

19, I think. Agreed, good learning experience for him.

save jotaā€¦dont want any injuries especially if we get down by another goal

The fixture list is not suddenly different this season. Itā€™s always like this. Injuries happen but thereā€™s more than enough quality to take this trophy a bit more seriously.

Itā€™s pretty close to what I expected, save for Konate for Koumetio and Wiliams for Gordon.

If youā€™re at the match you should support whoever is on the field anyway.

This is not over yet. Wouldnā€™t surprise me to see Jota, Keita and maybe even Ibou at HT. 5 changes possible. No extra time.

No shame in losing to Leicesterā€™s first team but we could at least make them work harder for their goals. All 3 have come from giving the ball away cheap. They do look a bit vulnerable at the back and we can get at them with better striking options but I donā€™t think JK changes much second half. Heā€™s not too arsed if we lose. Just hope it doesnā€™t get too messy.

Hard to blame Minamino here. Heā€™s had to drop deep in MF, and is probably the reason the left side is more secure- to the extent it is.

Neco does not seem to know where to position himself; need to simplify things on the right side- sub either him or Bradley for Gordon

At no point did I say you shouldnā€™tā€¦

Iā€™m still watching the match, supporting the team, wanting us to win. Doesnā€™t make the line up less annoying.

Konate not being in there might mean VVD not ready for next game

I think itā€™s more a problem that too many of the kids and inexperienced players are playing in similar areas on the pitch. At the back you have Gomez but he hasnā€™t played much this season. Next to him you have Billy who is new and Morton in front of them. Kelleher hasnā€™t played much either. None of them are bad as such but there is a massive lack of communication and general understanding between them.

Going forward we are making a fair few chances. I suspect the forward choices are more of an experiment for next month.

What do u think illok? Think klopp cares about winning this? If we score one early he might otherwise I donā€™t think he gives a fuck.

Iā€™m with you. Iā€™d have played Mane and Konate at least, given we played a better team than this in a dead rubber v Milan.

Fixture list isnā€™t ideal of course, and league cup is a lower priority, but I watch football to see my team win trophies.

I donā€™t think he cares too much, he just doesnā€™t want the kids to get embarrassed.

I want us to win every game we play, but I am strangely not overly bothered by this one. Donā€™t get me wrong, if we rally in the second half and score a couple, say on the back of a couple of key subs, I will be made up.

But weirdly, Iā€™m almost looking forward to having a bit less on our plates as we see what mess covid stirs up in the coming weeks.
