Milner back. I know he has the appearance of a veteran 35 year old but under that rugged exterior beats a synthetic heart and a titanium skeleton. If he starts asking about Sarah Connor run and hide - he’s gone AWOL.
I’ve noted a world of difference in his play for Liverpool and Wales.
When he pays for Wales he ends up in positions with a lot of room in front of him to run into and drive forward. For us he’s wedged into a corner with the full back literally crawling down his shorts.

If that ball from Milner had been better. The rest was nice though.
This is a very relaxing game to watch really.
Sure, perhaps a bit kind, but their best chances have come from Tsimikas, Konate (multiple) and Alisson mistakes. Williams hasn’t given Diaz an easy night.

a player could have a broken leg with it twisted inside out and macmanaman would still say " there was nothing in that challenge for me, he hardly touched him" lol

Some of the older players are often like that, incensed that the game has changed and that you get easier free kicks now than 15 years ago. It is rather typical

Ouch, I got to run. Guess I shall have to miss a few min of this rather done and dusted game. Hope I miss a goal, but only if it’s for us !
