Liverpool vs Toulouse-Lautrec, Thursday 26th October, 20:00

Back from the NT break, back to winning ways, back in Europe. Toulouse are currently 10th in the league table, however, they are second behind Liverpool in the EL group. These clubs have met just twice before, in the group stage of the 2007 CL when we won both the games.

Kelleher
Gomez Konate Quansah Tsimikas
Gravenberch Endo Jones
Doak Jota Nunez

Come on Reds, raise hell.

Would be great if Gakpo can come on from bench.

Any news on when Bajcetic will be back? Need him at RB for the EL so that Gomez can be LB backup.

Whatever and whoever Klopp thinks best.

I think he managed the team well so far.

I feel Bajectic and Thiago are on the same trajectory.

Chambers might get the nod.

I broadly agree with your team, but I’d have Matip instead of Ibou and Elliott in place of Gravenberch.

Also, I’d play Nuñez through the middle and Jota from the left.

Will Kelleher and Doak be available?

Winning the next two (both against Toulouse) should be enough to win the group, right?

I’m sure that Jürgen and his team will know the personnel, formation and tactics to see us through this game. COYR YNWA :+1:

Kelleher was in training and Klopp didn’t mention him so I assume he is fit enough to play, he was also on the bench today.

Pretty much the team I’d expect, but I guess Elliot bill start instead of Gravenberch and I’m not sure Doak will be available. I suppose Klopp will start the centre back that will not start against Forrest. In my book it should be Konate.

We need to focus on the league so I’d be happy if Becker, Virgil, Macca, Mo don’t travel, let alone feature in this game. I reckon our “ bench players” are good enough to win this game or at least grind out a draw.

They wouldn’t have to, the game is at Anfield.

I’ll be in the back of a plane heading out on my first deployment during this one but I feel like if there was a good game to miss… it’s probably this one.

Good luck Sweetie. Any thoughts on Chambers?

He’s talented, very good technical ability, quick, solid defender - as a left back he’s more of a full back who can attack rather than a wing back who can defend (if that makes sense). Kind of the opposite of Calum Scanlon - who is an attack first LB.

Has played at CB more recently and that’s in part to help him develop physically as he is still pretty skinny. Went on loan to Kilmarnock last season and they thought he was great.

I think hes PL quality, body just needs to fill out. I don’t think he’ll translate attacking qualities into the first team, at least not yet, as that’s probably the weakest side of his game. Defensively I’ve got no concerns apart from being muscled off the ball - which to be fair I haven’t seen happen at youth level because honestly he’s just too talented to get treated like that against his own age group.

Will be interesting to see if he goes on loan in January and what kind of level that would be.

Cheers. Looks like we’ll be seeing him soon. Maybe league cup?

Yeah I could see that. Klopp has praised him a lot in the past, I don’t think he will hesitate to drop him into the team.

Thanks again and hope your deployment is nothing dangerous :slightly_smiling_face:

I think Scanlon on the bench today with no actual players missing bar Robertson at the back suggests Chambers probably will be cover alongside Gomez for the period going forward.
