He’s had a decent run since his return from injury, but he’s also only played 90 mins I think twice in that time. That’s a period going back to August.
With the schedule this full there isn’t much room for hard training in the in between and so games like this can often be used as a critical part of the conditioning.

Say what you want about this comp, but it’s been fantastic for squad rotation so far, and our group is piss easy.
Wouldn’t be able to rest starters in the CL, and I reckon this could pay off big for us second half o’t season.
