I think @Limiescouse was saying that if the ball doesn’t go where the defender intended then under the rules currently it would not count as playing the ball?

Code nearly but Darwin through. That’s pure DNA at work

It’s okay, we have… Doak.

Wolves not looking to make the same mistake Soton did today.

They refined it even more for this season after Mbappe’s goal against Spain in the Nation’s League final. A defender has to be deemed to be in control and play the ball for it to be deliberate meaning they arent supposed to be punished for stretching to cut out a ball and deflecting it to a forward.

I thought that as well so how does that stand?

Much better this half.

Oh my that play between Robbo and Nunez just then is the best play I’ve seen on that left hand side since Mane left.

Aye. My question as well. That was why I asked if we had VAR. It could be one of those stupid situations where we have different interpretations than UEFA/FIFA :man_shrugging:

No. It’s not that long ago that Salah would have been called offside there and would not have been played back inside by a defender playing the ball.

The fuck is our midfield.

thats by far his best quality… his movement in the final third is exceptional…dude will have a field day with a good midfield behind him

Unpopular opinion I know as Thiago isconsidered untouchable by a lot.

But fuck me, i don’t get what he does.

I’ve not seen an assist or a decent pass in a lot of games, he don’t score, but he does make a lot f fouls

I miss our mesmerising control of games

Passing looks much better

Salah runs into totty. No wonder his head isn’t in the game.
