One that @Sweeting won’t be happy about.

Hope he smashes it

I have no idea how reliable that is (maybe there will also be a certain clause included), but @MarcusBerglund, do you still think or hope we’re getting €7-10m for Stephenson?

Yeah, I still think he is e solid player who will have e decent career. And in the future /if he goes to Bolton/, they will sell him for a similar amount of money /of what I predicted/.

Hughes sold Kelleher for 12.5 mln. pounds last summer, do you think that is what most of our fans expected?

Lewis Bower kind of announced it a few months ago. He raved about him, I also think The Secret Scout was of the same opinion. However, I need @Sweeting to verify, so I can get properly excited.

Yeah me too

That’s something else, what Stephenson will go on to achieve in his career or after his next move. We were talking about this summer. That said, the quoted fee sounds a bit too low, but I certainly didn’t expect the sort of fee you mentioned.

No, but I also think it’s natural that more fans will mostly overrate their club’s players or the prices they might be sold for. Here and there the odd opposite surprise happens (like maybe early in Klopp’s tenure when we had many players to sell), but it’s mostly the former situation.

To be honest I don’t think I saw Leocester U21s this season so no clue. However if you’re 15 and playing well at U21 level then you’re a top talent.

So in the last 12 months we have signed/expected to sign

  • Mor Talla Ndiaye, 18, CB
  • Sidy Barhama Ndiaye, 16, RW
  • Ifeanwi Ndukwe, 18, CB
  • Noah Adekoya, 19, CB
  • Armin Pecsi, 20, GK
  • Will Wright, 18, CF
  • Matty Wright, 17, GK
  • Darren Motsi, 15, RW
  • Samuel Martinez, 17, AM
  • Noah Dash Allen, 14, LW
  • Zach Trinder, 14, GK
  • Diego Pelembe, 16, CM
  • Michael Mulholland, 15, CF

Its been quite a while since we have such investment into the Academy. There seems to be a wealth of depth for youth internationals (something we’ve surprisingly lacked in the last few years) at the U18 and below level for Liverpool especially in the wide areas but expect to hear a lot more about the likes of these over the next three years or so - La’more Lee-Forrester, Vincent Joseph, Joshua Abe, Isaiah Garin, Isaac Konde, Zac Coxon, Luca Eden, Kessy Ogunlana, Kobi Akerele and Tye Healy.

"Sources familiar with the process, who asked to remain anonymous to protect relationships, stating that the youngster was offered pro terms of up to ÂŁ50,000 per week from Premier League rivals to move away from Liverpool.

Ultimately, after taking time to weigh up his options, Abe and his family decided that the pathway available to the first-team at Liverpool meant that his interests would be best served by staying put."

My word… This is wrong on so many levels. I respect his family and hopefully his advisors, too, on prioritising his long-term prospects over massive short-term gain. I think that a huge majority of people would have instructed their child to accept this kind of money at that age.

There was an interview from the guy who runs Wolves’ academy I saw a little while back talking about their goalie who they are sure is going to be Premier League caliber. He said they have done everything in their power to keep him, at an estimated cost of about 3 million quid to develop him to this level, but they fully expect him to leave this summer for essentially nothing and with the rules the way they are they are powerless to stop him.

Koumas got his first goal for Wales a couple of days ago with a stoppage time equalizer against Ghana. Bellemy commented afterwards he sees potential of using him through the middle in the future, not necessarily as his best position but as the best way he can help the Wales side.

I found it a clip of the relevant part. I mangled the details a bit but the concept is essentially there
