2-0…
Morton 29’. Birthday goal.
Considering the awful conditions these lads are playing some excellent football.
I just switched on cheers for reminder.
Morton made it 3-0 on his 18th birthday.
There are quite a few to watch in this side, Balagizi is probably at the top though yeah. Mabaya has impressed today too in an unfamiliar position, can see why he’s so highly rated.
Quansah has been excellent at the back too.
Mabaya wearing no. 2, playing RB or? Think you guys mentioned he’s a midfielder?
Yeah that’s him. Sean Wilson is the usual RB but he’s on the bench.
Both Mabaya and Corness (the fullbacks) are usually midfielders, and both playing well.
4-1.
Good game of football, both sides played some nice stuff.
Frauendorf could have honestly scored 8! Needs to get more clinical but can’t fault his movement. Corness was superb at left back. Woltman and Stewart really good up front. 2 goals for Morton on his birthday. Balagizi on a different level. Stephenson good in the 6 again.
Good watch.

Was that Gelhardt the promising lad who was at Wigan or something? And… Flanagan? It isn’t is it?
Yeah Gelhardt is the Wigan player, he moved there this summer. Leeds have moved him to midfield from his normal CF position.
Different Flanagan! That is Kian Flanagan, a 21 year old winger who fell out with Hodgson last year over his lack of first team chances (he was U23 POTY in 18/19 for Palace).

Alexander-Arnold, Jones and Rhys started and Neco was subbed on - not a bad night for club’s academy.

Billy Koumetio returned from injury and Paul Glatzel was on the scoresheet as Liverpool U23s beat West Ham United 4-2 in Premier League 2 on Friday afternoon.
Wonder if the club will take a similar approach to Williams with our other young centre backs. You wouldn’t think a player sent out to non-league football would be in contention here but he has improved significantly in his time at Kidderminster.
I think there’s a lot to be said for a centre back to go and play men’s football instead of too much at youth level. The game is more physical, mistakes matter a lot more and you have to be switched on for 90 minutes or your teammates will let you know about it.
I remember Williams making errors similar to the ones Koumetio and SVDB make. The footballing ability can be there but the mental side of it needs to be up to scratch too. Wouldn’t be surprised or disappointed to see both of them go out on loan and drop down a few levels to get regular game time.
