Jarell Quansah is a name that is so cool that Iāll be extremely disappointed if heās not at least a part of Liverpoolās 2026/27 treble-winning team. Then again, the name just doesnāt get cooler than Fidel OāRourkeās but ladās progress seems to have stalled, unfortunately.
Heāll be on my list of ones to watch 22/23. I was disappointed he didnāt get much game time last season but this year heāll be first choice CB for the U21s and I wouldnāt be shocked if he gets a decent amount of game time for the first team.
Itās hard to directly compare any of them because theyāve all been playing at different levels. Quansah had a quiet year last season after moving up from U18, Koumetio was a regular for the U23s and can Deb Berg was playing Championship football. On raw attributes alone Iād probably say Quansah is the most talented but itās not a clear cut thing.
A level up I think at Stockport but I feel St Pats was a higher level. Championship lower half or upper League One. Playing Conference League in Europe. Think both these clubs are not as beneficial imo. But I know Iām wrong Liverpool obviously think differently but just my thoughts
Academy players seen to be involved in first-team training thus far today! Could be more but spotted so far:
Harvey Davies
Fabian Mrozek
Tom Hill
James Norris
Bobby Clark
Stefan Bajcetic
Isaac Mabaya
Melkamu Frauendorf
Luke Chambers
Leighton Clarkson and Tyler Morton.
Sepp Van Den Berg, although, he is a senior player now!
comment came from Lewis Bower on twitter but I think Sepps two seasons of first team football gets him first team status rather than Morton and Clarkson who were playing u23s
