That’s right. Morton played six senior games last season while SvdB played around 40.

Is Mabaya still mostly playing at right back?

And where has Tom Hill played since returning from injury?

Conor Bradley having a great pre season so far

Yeah think they still have him at right back. Think he is getting a promotion to u23s which is the result of a great season at u18s for him. Tom Hill got called up for Ireland underage a few months back, don’t think he played but not certain. Hopefully this season he can kick on after such a long time out. Plays centre mid also but don’t think he played much after coming back. Played on the wing for us against Villa that time when we played the kids in 2019

Conor Bradley – Bolton
Billy Koumetio – Austria Wien
Marcelo Pitaluga – Macclesfield
Vitezslav Jaros – Stockport
Jakub Ojrzynski – Radomiak Radom
Adam Lewis – Newport County
James Balagizi – Crawley Town

Any idea what happened to Matteo Ritaccio? Must be something serious to terminate a deal.

Anderson Arroyo extended his contract and gone to Alaves on loan.

That’s interesting, isn’t he one of those who has very little hope of making it with us?

Hasn’t even been part of a small squad for Charleston.

Well done to him!

He is developing pretty well, started as a left back, but last season played as a central defender at a very high level for Mirandes. Alaves will be one of the favourites to win Segunda division and if he remains a starter there I expect a lot of offers for the young Colombian.

Don’t think he played for them

Liverpool U21s played out a 1-1 pre-season friendly draw with Caernarfon Town on Saturday afternoon.

Jake Cain opened the scoring for the Reds on 17 minutes though the Welsh outfit earned themselves a late leveller through Osian Evans.

Boss Barry Lewtas fielded the experience of player-coach Jay Spearing alongside the likes of Layton Stewart and Oakley Cannonier at the Academy.

Jack Bearne’s clever play down the right led to the first goal of the encounter, as he weaved in and out to produce a ball for Cain to score with a left-footed drilled finish.

Goalkeeper Liam Hughes was forced into an excellent save by the visitors, while Terence Miles denied what appeared to be a certain goal with a perfectly timed challenge.

Cannonier and Mateusz Musialowski both went close to adding to the scoreline and Stewart was denied from close-range twice in the second period.

Caernarfon Town equalised late on following a swift counter-attack, which saw Evans finish off a clever move to see the fixture end all square.

so he made 2 in a row?

Interesting names left out of the pre-season tour…

Jarell Quansah: Played every game in the England U19s European Championship win which may explain omission but teammate Luke Chambers - who played a lot less for England - was brought along by Klopp.

Owen Beck: Currently the most senior left back in the U21 system, linked with loan move to Portugal.

Jake Cain: Was taken on tour last season before having a difficult year for Newport County on loan. Is being toured as someone expected to leave on loan again this season.

Matuesz Musialowski: Winger has been suggested as going back to Poland on loan.

Paul Glatzel: Striker had an ok season with Tranmere Rivers as he worked back from serious injury. Expected to be heading out again likely on loan.

Layton Stewart: Only recently back from serious injury but interesting that he was overlooked while Tom Hill was taken (different positions but both missed lots of playing time in the last 12 months or more).

Max Woltman: Made his senior debut at San Diego last season but overlooked entirely here.

Harvey Blair: Actually started for the first team, surprisingly, but also not given a sniff this time.

Oakley Cannonier: Not a shock to those of us who watched the U18s this season but probably a name casual viewers expected to see.

Kaide Gordon: He’s injured so could not be taken.

Frustrating to see Gordon’s development halted by these injury issues.

Does anyone know what kind of injuries he’s been having?
