Wow, he really looks like him too (aside from the bleach blonde hair and beard lol)

Liverpool U21s produced a brilliant fightback to draw 3-3 with Tottenham Hotspur in Premier League 2 on Friday night.
Romaine Mundleā€™s goal gave Spurs an early lead at the Lamex Stadium and despite the Reds gaining momentum in the first half, Yago Alonso extended their advantage to three with a brace just before the break.
But Liverpool came storming back after the interval and claimed a point that was the least they deserved, courtesy of efforts from Luke Chambers, Max Woltman and substitute Harvey Blair.
Spursā€™ intent was evident immediately and they could have opened the scoring inside 15 seconds.
A slick passing exchange along the left-hand side released Alonso inside the area and, from a narrowing angle, he swept his attempted finish off target to the right.
The hosts were celebrating on five minutes, though, as the impact of their strong early pressing told. Jamie Donley stole possession from Jarell Quansah deep in the Liverpool half and unselfishly squared the ball across the box for Mundle to send past Harvey Davies.
The response from Barry Lewtasā€™ Reds was admirable and they threatened three times in quick succession soon after the concession.
First, Layton Stewart snuck in behind to turn a long pass over the top into a possible chance. The striker was sandwiched by the outrushing goalkeeper and a defender, spooling the ball to Melkamu Frauendorf, whose lofted finish from 20 yards drifted too high over the exposed goal.
Then Chambers scampered into space down the left flank and delivered a sweet cross to the near post, where Frauendorf touched an effort wide.
Dominic Corness came closest from the most difficult of situations, the midfielder meeting a clearance with a sensational, first-time volley that soared past the goalkeeperā€™s reach but bounced off the crossbar.
Mundle sliced a decent chance over the upright as Tottenham stirred again and they raced clear on the scoresheet with a quickfire double before half-time.
Alonso was sent away behind the Liverpool backline in the right channel and fired a strike across Davies, and the same player then pounced on defensive hesitation to run through, round the Redsā€™ ā€™keeper and claim his second and Spursā€™ third of the evening.
Lewtasā€™ team emerged for the second period with renewed vigour, clearly believing the deficit was not insurmountable.
That conviction was strengthened on 53 minutes when Chambers struck. From a drop-ball high on the right wing, the Reds kept the ball alive around the edge of the area and the left-back managed to force a shot into the net at the second attempt.
On they surged and Corness was denied by the woodwork again after cutting out a Tottenham throw-in, darting into the box and sliding a low effort onto the right post.
The comeback stepped up in the 69th minute, however. Stewartā€™s strong hold-up play in his own half sparked another attack and the ball eventually fell to Woltman, who guided a lovely, rolled strike into the bottom right corner.
Spurs simply could not get out by this point and Liverpool soon levelled superbly. Chambers drove in from the flank and fed James Norris, who turned the ball on to Blair. The substitute moved into the area and walloped an unstoppable finish into the roof of the goal for 3-3.
Stewart had the ball in the net from Norrisā€™ low cross but was denied by an offside flag, while an unmarked Nile John pulled a strike wide from a half-cleared Tottenham corner as the whistle sealed a point apiece at the end of a thriller.
Liverpool U21s: Davies, Stephenson, Chambers, Quansah, Jonas, Corness, Frauendorf (Blair, 62), Norris, Stewart (Cannonier, 88), Cain, Woltman (Oā€™Rourke, 88).
Unused substitutes: Kelly, Olufunwa.

Kone-Doherty X2, Miles, McConnell with the goals. Thought Liverpool were pretty dominant, United were flattered by the 4-2 scoreline as it wasnā€™t that close.

Doak was exceptional once again, influential in two goals and was denied a stonewall penalty.

Laffey and McConnell also really good at CM. Osbourne did well at CB, bearing in mind heā€™s a backup RB and was forced to play centrally because if the unfortunate Hayes-Green injury.

Liverpool U18s clinched an impressive 4-2 victory over Manchester United at the Academy on Saturday.
Trent Kone-Doherty marked a productive opening half for the Reds with strikes on eight and 35 minutes respectively in Kirkby.
Sam Murray briefly halved the away sideā€™s deficit at the outset of the second period but Terence Milesā€™ header and James McConnellā€™s clinical drive sent the hosts clear.
Manni Norkett smashed in a late penalty for United but the home team had already done enough to secure all three points in U18 Premier League North.
Liverpool began with an energy and intensity befitting of a game against rivals United.
And they could have led within two minutes as Ben Doak snatched possession on the right flank and drove forward to feed a pass into Lewis Koumas, who sliced his shot wide to the left of goal from inside the box.
They did not pass up their next chance, however. Fabian Mrozekā€™s long knock from the back was miscontrolled by a United defender and Kone-Doherty seized on the error to surge through, shimmy around the goalkeeper and tuck the ball home.
Marc Bridge-Wilkinsonā€™s Reds soon threatened a second, with Doak launching a speedy counter-attack. The No.7ā€™s low finish was well saved by Tom Wooster and Koumas was forced too wide on the rebound.
Doak saw strong appeals for a penalty rejected when he appeared to be tripped in the area by Sonny Aljofree, while Mrozek had to make a smart stop to thwart Maxi Oyedeleā€™s effort.
It was Liverpool who struck again, though, and it was a second of the morning for Kone-Doherty.
This time he rounded off a lovely team move as McConnell slid a pass into Doak in the right channel and he clipped across the face of goal for Kone-Doherty to capitalise at the far post.
United rallied in response and Mrozek had to produce a reaction save when Louis Jackson redirected a left-wing free-kick with a flicked header that was on course for the bottom right corner.
The Reds ā€™keeper also repelled a Sam Mather drive, while Afolami Onanuga side-footed too high from a promising position at the other end.
The visitors did not return to the dressing room at the interval as they plotted a response ā€“ and United produced one almost immediately upon the restart.
Aljofree headed against the crossbar from a corner-kick delivery and when the ball remained alive and came out to Murray, he found a route to slot it past Mrozek.
Kone-Doherty created a shooting chance for himself by quick response, showing strength and skill to find space for a bouncing 20-yarder that Wooster tipped away to his right.
But Liverpool were celebrating again on 53 minutes.
A free-kick from the right edge of the opposition penalty box picked out Miles and he guided a looping header over Wooster as he darted out and into the net.
And the Reds put the game beyond doubt midway through the half, with Doak heavily involved with a dynamic dribble into the United box from the flank.
The attacker was eventually halted in his havoc-making but McConnell was on hand at the ā€˜Dā€™ to thread a precise finish inside the left post for 4-1.
Liverpoolā€™s healthy advantage was preserved by another excellent Mrozek save, getting a touch on Norkettā€™s prod from close range to deflect wide.
Norkett got his goal late on with an emphatic penalty finish after substitute Ranel Young brought Murray down inside the area, and the United forward needed medical attention due to a stoppage-time injury, as Bridge-Wilkinsonā€™s charges saw out their second league win of 2022-23.
Liverpool U18s: Mrozek, Osborne, Gyimah, Miles, Hayes-Green (Giblin, 22), Laffey (Danns, 81), Doak (Young, 81), Onanuga, Koumas, McConnell, Kone-Doherty.

Unused substitutes: Hewitson, Pennington.

With Kone-Doherty, Doak and Gordon we seem to have some potential first team quality there in the wide positions for the first time in a little while.

Will be interesting to see if Doak makes the bench against Derby, heā€™s ripping up the u18s.

Kaide Gordon must be gutted heā€™s missed the start of the season, heā€™s missed some guaranteed first team involvement. Hopefully heā€™ll return soon and manage to get a run of fitness.
