Losing the midriff "wobble" or the TAN diet/exercise thread

BMI isnt accurate.

I am 5’11 in height and am 13st 6Ibs but according to the NHS site I am still in the lower end of obesity as they say a man of my height should be from 9st to 11st - Id look like prisoner of war if I dropped down that low. I think im probably half a stone too light if anything. But rather that than half a stone too heavy.

Yeah BMI isn’t an accurate way of seeing whether someone is obese or not.

Usain Bolt is obese, by BMI standards
That’s how inaccurate the measurement tool is.
But there isn’t any other recognised methodology for measurement of body fat/weight

What’s your overall loss now?

A machine in Australia once told me I was obese. At 5f 8 and weight a little over 11 stone it was probably right but I was on holiday and everyone puts on a bit on holiday.
I didn’t think it was a nice thing to say.

69kg for a 5 foot 8 is probably just about marginally overweight. No where close to being obese.

And went to a “dietician” a while back. She took the lower end of the acceptable weight spectrum for my height. 58kg - 75kg and said I needed to weigh 58 kg.

How do some people even get these jobs. Imagine asking someone (I was 81kg then) that they needed to cut 23kg just because the lowest acceptable weight for the BMI is 58kg.

I was 109.22KG now 86.36KG so 22.86KG (3 stone and 8.4 lb) lost.

The jabs are amazing but I feel its best in the long run to meet them halfway. Use the time on them to change eating habits and eat better. No point in losing weight, coming off and then going back to your old habits.

I’m still never hungry but I know when I need to eat so will eat 3 good protein filled average sized meals a day. I might even have a small fun sized Chocolate bar with a cup of tea in the evening. But other than that there’s no need or desire to snack. On the days I know I’m going out for dinner/having a takeaway I will have later breakfast and skip lunch and that way I don’t feel guilty. I still cannot eat loads which is good.

For the first 3 months I cut out all beer – and even now I can drink again and do once a week I still get a headache the next day. I don’t touch draft lager or spirits as the jabs seem to hate them – even on half a shot of the jab. Hangovers are brutal.

Bottled beer, Guinness, Stouts and Ales are much better headache wise on the jab (For me)
