It´s so simple yet not at all easy.
Fair play to everyone trying.

What does it say? Already from the framing I am suspecting it is guru click bait nonsense

In summary the podcast is with Dr Sam Impey who runs Hexis and supports some pro cycling teams / athletes.
They’re discussing a study linked below from Jeoffrey Rothschild where they have studied carbohydrate fuelling and where the mistakes are must often made for amatuer athletes. Fueling while on long sessions, bike rides etc is not really an issue. What people eat the rest of the time is.
It leans more on what is needed for peak performance but does discuss the realms of body composition and how over time the body adapts.
It’s basically the next step on from the idea of fueling workouts correctly.

Can you say this weight in kg’s like a civilized human being.
Asking because I need to start as well and thinking to even use the drugs.
Initial weight and final weight.
A smidge over 85kg
And what would be walshy’s weight prior to starting the treatment ?
I’ll let @Walshy07 answer that one. To be fair the treatment has worked really well and he has been disciplined to stick to it too. He has lost a good lump of weight.
I’m slowly trying to build my cycling back up to try and get it off that way (with diet). I am behaving better food wise at the moment having had some recent blood test issues that gave me a bit of a poke.
But I have quite a distance to go given the target I’ve set for myself.

So checked with the doctor, the fucker says he can’t provide a prescription because I am not obese.
Fucking asshole. Seems that the prescription is only given to those who are obese.
You need to have a certain BMI to get it off the NHS
plus something else like Diabetes.
The measure for obesity is BMI, still as far as I know.
Not the most scientific methodology, but its all they have.
Personal happiness regarding body weight/size is also a factor that needs consideration, aside from the more obvious health benefits of losing weight.
Many years ago I worked with a very handsome young man, whose life was destroyed through schizophrenia. He found some solace and a recovery pathway through one of the better known antipsychotic meds…but, this produced a huge weight gain.
His dilemma was stark.
Be fat or be mad. His words, not mine.
I found it difficult to answer that one.
