Now Athletic have complained about Barca to their FA; I don’t think the deal for Nico Williams is on. Barca might well come for Diaz again. I would prefer to sign both Konate and Diaz on long term contracts else sell them. Assuming Diaz is in 50k$, taking it to 150k (majority of our players earn that) shouldn’t be a problem as in two years we will be saving 10 million max if we let him go on a free. So I don’t understand why we can’t agree a deal with Diaz. With Konate again we will losing him for free next season like Trent
Because he’s already likely to be earning more than 100k and is looking for a move elsewhere so the club are probably waiting until the window closes for a deal if he is still here.

I read they’ve been playing at a smaller stadium this season but back at their regular place now so ticket revenues will jump.. they had a decent run in Champions League too. That will all help.
Yet haven’t they leveraged previous debt on the never never.
This never ends well. One credit crunch and the club is in trouble.

They also have Yamal’s new contract to pay which supposedly could work out to 40 Euros per annum. But they always find a way. So many levers to pull.

The Olympic stadium is only about half the size of the Nou Camp, but the bigger issue is it is old and as no one uses it full time it hasnt had much money put into for modernization so it lacks the big expensive match day options like luxury boxes. That means they are getting far less per ticket on average as well.
So yea, with going back to the Nou Camp this season their projected revenue will go up a lot, but they have already pre-sold a lot of that returning revenue so they could apply it to last years books to get into compliance so dont think they will see much of an accounting boost this year. They’ll find a way because they always do, but their finances are still in the toilet
